Club Runs

Running together is a great way to meet other runners while getting your miles in. Even if you’re not a club member, you’re welcome to join us for these weekly group runs. We run at a variety of paces, and walkers are welcome.

New Runners’ Group Run
Sunday mornings
Just getting into (or back into) running? This is the perfect run for you. Beginning Dec. 13, we will meet Sunday mornings at 8:00 am at Shillito Park (meet in the parking lot by the pool). All paces are welcome. This 2.5-mile paved loop will allow runners to go as far and fast as they want. Each week, 2-3 more experienced club members will volunteer to run with newcomers, offering advice or just conversation. Although this is geared toward new runners, all are welcome on Sunday mornings.

Sunday Evenings
April through October

From April through October, on the Sunday following a club meeting (which occurs on the third Thursday of the month), we follow the club run with a potluck dinner. Bring a dish and join us!

November through March
4:00 pm. John’s Run/Walk Shop on S. Ashland Avenue, 5-mile run through scenic residential area by Lakewood Drive. Click here for a route map.

Tuesday Evening Track Workouts

Stay up to date on meeting times, locations, and distances by joining our Facebook group. This group is open to the public. You’re welcome to post in it, but please keep posts appropriate and on topic.

Currently, we are running from Bethany Baptist Church on Parker’s Mill Rd. Start time is 7:30 AM. Run anywhere from 6 to 12 miles … or more. Drinks will be provided on the course and at the finish.
